Student Research

In order to facilitate the program goal for independent investigation, students are required to complete a final project or practicum for the Certificate programs. It is to be a culmination of study and will be completed in the final term of enrollment. The project or practicum will provide students hands-on experience in the field, will be carried out in consultation with the student’s advisor and, in the case of a practicum, in partnership with local businesses, institutions, and non-profit organizations.

Faculty Research

Ohio International College seeks to provide students with an understanding of the background to current problems and issues in translation and communication, as well as opportunities to round out their educations with supplementary courses in various disciplines. The administration of Ohio International College believes that faculty members who stay current in their fields and develop their talents as scholars and teachers are crucial in carrying out this mission. They will have subject knowledge and the ability to engage and challenge students. Policies and procedures regarding professional and scholarly development are geared toward this outcome.
